Court Ordered Paternity Test: No Drama, Just Reasons
It must sound like a major TV series or a motion picture that everyone has seen or heard of whenever issues of paternity testing come up. Sure, most people have heard about this in the movies and TV or in the scientific lectures in school but should they learn that a friend or someone they know of has to undergo this, they would not believe themselves. So why is there a court ordered paternity test?
Though the reasons differ and complicated, you can still state briefly into two sets: moral and legal.
Speaking of the moral aspect most of the time happens when any of the party, either the mother or the father would want that their child to grow knowing his or her true identity. This could happen by doing some tests basically through scientific process termed as DNA sampling. In layman’s term, DNA test is done by taking a specimen of a person and if it would match to the other, then it means the two are connected genetically; just like a father and his real child. Others prefer to mend this kind of problem by paternity tests that could be done easily and readily at home. Basically, this is made to prove the people who are involved and mend things. Most of the time, this kind of move remains a secret but you can also have it ordered by court.
Thinking about legal matters, more reasons would be cut-out, which is usually the issue about the support of the child. The usual case, the court ordered paternity test for the reason that the father must give support to his child, or else, the father could be accused of negligence. We could consider the result of the test as very good evidence, especially if there is a third party involved. Manipulation of the result coming from the laboratory mandated by the court to perform the tests should not be done.
Another reason for doing this kind of test could be for other legal matter. For instance, if a person would want to get benefited from the father’s properties, thus exercising his right, as well. It may sound so dramatic but for those adopted children would be fortunate if they found their biological parents because they could demand inheritance from them. However, profiling the DNA of the populace could also be demanded by the state.
Lastly, another reason for having this sort of test is for determining a body. Before, the most common way in identifying burned and rotten bodies was through dental records. However, these days, we have the court ordered paternity test. That is also hassle-free and effortless for the families to look for their dead loved-ones who have been a victim of calamity or accident. The best example for this proven case is the 9/11 attack. Majority of the victim’s body were already rotten and the families needed to provide a DNA sample so that they could get back the remains of their loved-ones.
Because of the refined and modernized ways of mending some disputes and answering questions, it seems like we are watching our favored drama series and sci-fi movie. The court will prove everything and end the drama story of your life as soon as test result will be shown in court.
