Your Copper Roofs Still Need Protection

One should not start the work in high temperatures. Wait for a cool and dry day to accomplish the task in more better way. Also, be handy with all the things that are required in roof painting. For instance, you would require a paint brush and roller, a sandpaper, wire brush and of course the paint and the primer.
Then, use a wire brush to scrape off all the build- ups and dirt from the roof. Sandpaper is generally use to abrade the dirt and mud. If by all efforts, dirt is still fixing over the roof, use pressure washer to remove it.
After you have entirely clear the roof, it is the time to apply a coat of primer over your roof. Instead of directly putting it on the roof surface it is better to first empty the bin into a 5 gallon container. Cover the entire roof surface firstly with the paint roller and then with the paint brush so as to provide a smooth touch.
Before you put the paint over the roof top, it is always better to coat it with a primer else,it will deteriorate the roof. So as to protect your roof, apply primer before paint
Now, your roof is coated with the primer and you need to put the paint over it. Ensure, the brush and the roller are new and fresh. For the old roller and brush, clean them with warm water. Apply several coats as per need. Make sure, the paint has dried up before you put the next coat.
When painting a copper roof, avoid using dark colors as this can cause the roof to get very hot. Before indulging into the task of roof painting ensure, you have an adequate knowledge for that. Otherwise you can even harm them.
